LCAP Parent Survey

The Roseville City School District (RCSD) is asking stakeholders to participate in an annual Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Parent Survey. The purpose of this survey is to gather information about the educational environment within RCSD that contributes to maximizing learning for every one of our students. The primary emphasis of this survey resides on the conditions of learning, pupil achievement outcomes, student engagement, and pupil safety.

RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION – If you have not completed your student’s returning student registration, please do so ASAP to ensure your child is assigned to a classroom. If you are in need of assistance, please contact the office at 916-771-1700, option 6. 

BOX TOP COLLECTION – We will be collecting Box Tops the week of March 4 – 8, with donuts coming on Friday, March 8. Please make sure your students label their envelopes (bags of 25 each) so they receive credit and get their donut.

CANDY GRAMS… Student Council is selling Candy Cane Grams through this Wednesday for $1.00. Students can buy a gram for their friends or siblings to be delivered on the Thursday before our winter break. If parents are wishing to buy a Candy Cane Gram for their child, they are for sale in the office.

CHIPS FOR KIDS… We’ve extended the dates and there’s still time to bring in a new unwrapped toy to brighten up a child’s holiday! Drop off in Big Red Barrel in the office by end of school day, Wednesday, December 19! Thank you for helping others!

News Bulletin

NO SCHOOL… Reminder there is no school Monday, November 12 in observance of Veterans Day! 

MAKE UP PICTURE DAY… Tuesday, November 13 is Make Up Picture Day. Order forms were sent home this past Wednesday and additional forms are available in the school office.

This session is for those students who would like to have their picture retaken, was absent or is a new student as of September 26.

If your student wishes to have their picture retaken, they must bring the original picture packet back along with their new order form.


Help Blue Oaks 5th grade classes get to Alliance Redwoods!

Beginning Monday, October 29th the 5th grade classes will be selling Candy Bars after school on Mondays and Thursdays in the upper grade loop for $1.00 per bar.

We thank you for your support in helping us raise money to go to this amazing science camp!



Blue Oaks Nature Bowl Team Applications Due October 29

Nature Bowl is an annual science based educational program for 4th & 5th graders that increases ecological knowledge and conservation literacy. In team settings, students eagerly learn about the environment while building teamwork skills and sharpening their creative and critical thinking abilities. Blue Oaks will send a team of up to 9 fourth grade students and a team of up to 9 fifth grade students coached by Mrs. Wells.  The participants need to attend after school meetings on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00 pm November – April.

2019 GATE Identification

The 2019-2020 school year GATE identification test will be administered at the District Office for students currently in 2nd – 7th  grade.  The students will take the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test, OLSAT, that tests abstract thinking and reasoning ability.  Students must attend one of the testing dates on the OLSAT Parent Permission Form in order to complete the testing by the district.  The Parent Permission Forms will be made available on November 1, 2018 on our district website @ under the “Parent” tab.
